Biography
Yueyang Frances Fei, MD, is an attending physician in the Section of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Fei is passionate about providing gynecologic and reproductive healthcare to people of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. She sees patients at both Nationwide Children’s Hospital, as a pediatric and adolescent gynecologist, and the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, as an obstetrician-gynecologist. She loves having the opportunity to help patients make the transition from pediatric to adult care in a seamless way. Patients trust Dr. Fei to provide compassionate, holistic care. She works closely with family and other healthcare providers in managing and understanding complex conditions which can have significant impacts on fertility, sexual function, and reproductive health. The most common conditions she treats include differences of sex development, transgender care, uterine and vaginal anomalies, menstrual concerns, abnormal uterine bleeding, contraceptive needs, gender-affirming care, and vaginoplasty. Dr. Fei’s research is focused on reproductive care for patients with complex conditions which necessitate specialized care, including patients with developmental delay or special needs, differences of sex development, Müllerian anomalies (i.e. uterine and vaginal anomalies), and gender dysphoria. Her other research interests include understanding and combatting period stigma, sexually transmitted infections, and abnormal uterine bleeding. She has several ongoing projects in these areas. She is actively involved in the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
“Reproductive healthcare is a critical, yet often overlooked, aspect of medical care. I am fortunate to work with patients and families to provide holistic care that best serves their individual needs.”
