As a social worker, Tina Cole is able to assist families with the social, emotional and financial aspects of having a family member with a heart condition. Social workers can provide information about the hospital stay, link families with community resources, enroll families in insurance plans, and assist with transportation and housing as needed.
“Tina was the first pediatric Certified Clinical Transplant Social Worker at Nationwide Children's and hopes to one day lead a team of social workers in a dedicated Transplant Center.”
