In this musical, Nikki Martin (Lily Pons) is an opera star about to enter an arranged marriage with a financier in Paris. Suddenly, she decides to make a run for it. During her wayward travels, she meets and falls for the head of a swing band, Windy McLean (Gene Raymond). Although he doesn’t reciprocate her feelings at first, she follows the band – hiding in an ocean liner – all the way to New York. Once she arrives, problems arise due to Windy’s girlfriend and the immigration authorities.
