Nationwide Children’s Hospital Golf Medicine Program has a team of Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified professionals to treat the young golfer. Our Sports Medicine physician will evaluate your child for common injuries seen in all athletes, as well as those specific to young golfers. If an injury is limiting them, our physical therapist and athletic trainer will provide a comprehensive rehabilitation program to get them back on the course as soon as possible. How are Golf Injuries Treated and Prevented? Our TPI certified experts will perform a physical evaluation, including a TPI physical screen, to assess the following:

Mobility Stability Physical Fitness Basic Swing Mechanics

This evaluation is used by our rehabilitation specialists to create a unique game plan for your golfer that focuses on golf-specific exercises to help speed recovery, prevent injury and enhance performance. During this evaluation, a golf swing video analysis will be used to determine if there are certain swing characteristics that could be causing inefficiencies in your child’s golf swing and placing them at greater risk for injury. This may result in a referral to a TPI certified teaching professional who has experience working with young golfers. Common Diagnoses We Treat

Sprains and strains Tendinitis Post-surgical recovery Neck pain Back pain Shoulder pain Elbow/wrist pain Hip/knee pain
