The Seventh Annual BuckeyeThon dance marathon will be held Saturday, February 16 through Sunday, February 17, 2008 at the Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) on The Ohio State University campus in Columbus. The event is organized and facilitated by Ohio State students with all proceeds benefiting Nationwide Childrens Hospital.Hundreds of Ohio State student participants and volunteers will engage in 14-hours of non-stop dancing and entertainment. Proceeds are raised by student participants through public pledges from family, friends or community donations. Since its inception in 2002, BuckeyeThon has raised over $200,000 to benefit Nationwide Childrens.As part of the Childrens Champions Program at Nationwide Childrens, patient families are again invited to join the fun at BuckeyeThon. An honorary dinner for the Champions and their families is slated for Saturday evening. The Childrens Champions Program was formed to recognize patients and give them an opportunity to share their special stories.
