Biography

Sean P. Gleeson, MD, MBA, is the President of Partners For Kids (PFK), the Accountable Care Organization affiliated with Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He joined the organizations in October 2009 as the Vice President Community Health and Wellness for Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Medical Director for Partners for Kids. PFK contracts with health plans to accept full risk capitation for over 320,000 children in Central and Southeastern Ohio. Since 2009, Nationwide Children’s and PFK have both experienced significant growth in the population health activity. New programs have started in asthma care, pharmaceutical management and physician incentives. A large care coordination program is now operational, assisting more than 1,000 of the most complex patients.
Dr. Gleeson, who continues to see patients in the Nationwide Children’s Primary Care Network, previously was Chief Medical Officer of Grant Medical Center. He has had medical leadership roles within Mercy Health Partners and worked as a pediatric hospitalist and health care management consultant.
