Biography

Sean Rose, MD, is a pediatric neurologist with additional training in the diagnosis and management of concussion. He is co-director of the Complex Concussion Clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and assistant professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University. His clinical practice focuses on concussion and other neurological conditions in athletes. He completed a fellowship in Sports Neurology, and he has provided sideline coverage for several sports at multiple levels of play. He is board certified in neurology with special qualifications in child neurology.

    “My goal is to find ways to get patients with concussion back to the sports and other activities they enjoy.”

Concussion Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Sub-Concussive Impacts

Dr. Rose is actively leading and collaborating on several research studies. He completed a 4-year prospective study of youth tackle football players to examine potential correlations between head impacts and neurocognitive and behavioral outcomes. He authored the quality measures for concussion published by the American Academy of Neurology. His research also focuses on concussion in infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, treatment of prolonged post-concussion symptoms, treatment of post-traumatic headaches, and electrophysiological correlates of cognitive difficulties after concussion. Concussion Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Sub-Concussive Impacts

Dr. Rose is actively leading and collaborating on several research studies. He completed a 4-year prospective study of youth tackle football players to examine potential correlations between head impacts and neurocognitive and behavioral outcomes. He authored the quality measures for concussion published by the American Academy of Neurology. His research also focuses on concussion in infants, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, treatment of prolonged post-concussion symptoms, treatment of post-traumatic headaches, and electrophysiological correlates of cognitive difficulties after concussion.
