Biography

        Scott received his Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine from Mercyhurst College in 2000 and his Masters degree in Athletic Training from the University of Virginia in 2001. While at the University of Virginia Scott served as the Athletic Trainer for the post-graduate football team at Fork Union Military Academy. Scott is licensed in the State of Ohio and certified nationally by the Board of Certification as an athletic trainer. Prior to joining the Sports Medicine team at Nationwide Children's Hospital Scott served as the Head Athletic Trainer for Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. While at Kenyon College Scott supervised all aspects of athletic training and his primary responsibilities were to the football and baseball team. In addition, Scott had previously worked as an assistant Athletic Trainer at the College of Wooster where he earned his Strength and Conditioning Certification from the NSCA. With the combined background, Scott then took a role as the Director of Sport Performance for a therapy group in Illinois. Scott uses those experiences to provide functional rehabilitation services to the pediatric patient population for Nationwide Children's Hospital.
