My research is focused on discovering ways to help young children, mothers and families be their healthiest. Most of my work is related to helping children born prematurely or children with autism make gains in their development and behavior, pregnant women have healthy deliveries and postpartum year, and optimizing nutrition and breastfeeding outcomes to help children and women. I combine methods from public health (epidemiology, biostatistics), clinical trials, and psychology in my research, and I love to pursue a “team science” approach to addressing research questions that are meaningful to patients and communities.
