ECHO RUBI improves clinicians’ comfort and knowledge with a manualized parent-training program (RUBI), shown to be effective for children with autism and other disabilities. ECHO RUBI is a therapy based program designed to reduce disruptive behavior and improve adaptive behavior in children and offers an excellent opportunity to improve and advance your clinical skills to better serve families with children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Participants in ECHO RUBI will collaborate with specialists in a case-based learning environment to develop advanced clinical skills and best practices. Series Participants: 

Will learn and utilize RUBI principles with patients and families Can earn CEU credit through this interactive, case-based learning series Will participate in coaching with participants and the hub team 

What To Expect

Complete RUBI Orientation (2.5 hours) and attend all sessions Submit a case to present to the group and engage in interactive discussions Collaborate with the expert team in providing recommendations Work with seasoned and newer members of the series in a collaborative environment

Sample Topics ECHO RUBI meets virtually for 60 minutes every second and fourth Tuesdays (12 p.m. EST) and will offer an additional 15 minutes at the end of each session for mentoring. You will have a chance to discuss complex cases in your practice for real-time advice from experts.

*Orientation:  10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (2.5 hours) will provide an overview of the RUBI parent training curriculum, approach to selecting a child for RUBI as well as management of the case for the duration of this ECHO series. After completing the orientation, participants will continue the RUBI series (1 hour sessions) to learn how to use the RUBI curriculum with fidelity but flexibility and engage families appropriately. Participants are encouraged to purchase the RUBI manual prior to the first session.
