Reach Out and Read at Nationwide Children’s Hospital introduces “Read, White and Boom” presented by All-American Moving and Storage on Friday, July 2 at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park, 371 Maier Place near downtown Columbus. This event will benefit the Reach Out and Read Program of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a pediatric literacy program dedicated to encouraging family literacy activities in the home prior to a child’s entrance into the school system. The event will begin at 3 p.m. and will include a delicious buffet from City Barbecue, family-friendly activities such as children’s authors, face painting, tethered hot air balloon rides (weather permitting), a balloon artist and live entertainment by the Bug Hounds. Event sponsors include the presenting sponsor, All-American Moving and Storage, as well as, GSW Worldwide, Rent-A-John, Creative Destinations, Sit Means Sit Dog Training, Costco, The Lemon Family, Retirement Strategies, Ltd. and Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease. Advanced tickets are required. Ticket prices are $10 for children, $30 for adults, $50 per couple or a family package of 2 adults and 2 children for $65.
