Biography

Nick Kelly, PT, DPT, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in 2013 with his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, and he later earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2016 from the University of Miami in Florida. As a pediatric section member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Nick has pediatric clinic experiences in outpatient and inpatient care, center-based early intervention, school-based therapy, and even hippotherapy and community sports in Costa Rica assisting children with various and multiple medical diagnoses. Nick recently served as the 2017-2018 pediatric PT resident at The Ohio State University Nisonger Center, where he participated in clinical research, multi- and interdisciplinary patient care, service learning, disability advocacy and outreach, and assistant teaching opportunities. Besides presenting clinical research at local and national conferences, Nick has co-authored two Clinical Bottom Lines featured in Pediatric PTJ and presented a TED-like Talk outlining how healthcare diversity can foster patient and family trust. Nick is currently a developmental therapist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital working in the outpatient and comprehensive cerebral palsy clinical departments. Aside from treating, Nick enjoys visiting national parks, exploring restaurants and breweries, and traveling with family and friends.
