COLUMBUS, Ohio – There are many opportunities for the local community and supporters of Nationwide Children’s Hospital around the country to give back to help patients during the holiday season. A complete list of events can be found here.

“In the spirit of the holiday season, so many people are looking for ways to give back and we could not be more grateful for the generosity of local community members and businesses,” said Niki Shafer, senior vice president of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation. “We hope people will help when they can because each contribution, whether monetary or a gift of toys or supplies, benefits patients and their families everywhere.”

For those who can’t attend the Toy Drive, Nationwide Children’s will accept holiday donations from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Fridays.

The latest the hospital can accept holiday toy donations is noon Dec. 20. Gifts cannot be accepted from Dec. 21-Jan. 1. Drop-offs will resume on Jan. 2 at the main hospital tower entrance.

Cheer on The Harlem Globetrotters  The Harlem Globetrotters have teamed up with the On Our Sleeves™ movement to transform children’s mental health. Globetrotter showman Hammer Harrison designed an arm sleeve to be worn throughout the season that features the design and icon elements of the On Our Sleeves platform. For the first time in Globetrotters history, a shooting sleeve is available for sale in youth and adult sizes. Tickets for the Dec. 29 games at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. can be purchased here.  

Justice Tween fashion, merchandise and accessory retailer Justice, along with their associates and customers, are supporting Nationwide Children’s through their in-store campaign through Jan. 4. Every dollar raised supports new breakthroughs and advancements in pediatric research at the hospital.

Panera Bread® During the month of November, central Ohio Panera customers will have an opportunity to round up their purchase in support of On Our Sleeves, the movement to transform pediatric mental health.

Donatos® and Cheryl’s® (67 Central Ohio Donatos Locations) Through their annual Sweetness of the Holidays campaign, Donatos will offer the Nationwide Children’s Butterfly cookie baked by Cheryl’s in restaurants and online from Nov. 19 through Jan 6. When patrons buy a Cheryl’s cookie for $1.50, all proceeds will support lifesaving research and care. Fifty cents from every bottle of Aquafina water sold at Donatos also benefits the hospital.

Give Kids a Someday Holiday Campaign Now through the end of the year, the central Ohio community can donate to the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation annual holiday campaign. No amount is too small and will help continue the life-saving research and care at the hospital.

Shop for a Cause The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation e-store has a variety of items for purchase throughout the holiday season. From the On Our Sleeves, “I Break Stigmas” t-shirt to specially-designed holiday cards and ornaments, shopping at the e-store is an opportunity to help kids everywhere.
