Modern Healthcare, the health care industry’s premier business magazine, has named Nationwide Children’s Hospital CEO Tim Robinson to its signature list of the “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.”

COLUMBUS, OH (December 8, 2022) – Modern Healthcare, the health care industry’s premier business magazine, has named Nationwide Children’s Hospital CEO Tim Robinson to its signature list of the “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.” The list includes political leaders and executives from large adult health systems, national associations and pharmaceutical companies. Robinson (#83 on the list) is one of only three pediatric hospital leaders who were named among the 100 most influential in 2022, joining the CEOs of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (#80) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (#98). According to the magazine, the Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare recognition program honors individuals who are deemed by their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare to be the most influential individuals in the industry, in terms of leadership and their impact on the trajectory of health care in the U.S. “Tim Robinson and his team of outstanding employees, clinical faculty and operational leaders have transformed Nationwide Children’s Hospital into one of the most important pediatric hospitals and research institutions in the country, while deepening the hospital’s commitment to the families and communities in central Ohio and across America,” said Kirt Walker, CEO, Nationwide, and chair, Nationwide Children’s Board of Directors. “In many ways, they have redefined what it means to be a children’s hospital with their dedication to overall wellbeing.” Robinson’s nomination focused on Nationwide Children’s many transformative accomplishments under his leadership:

The development of the nation’s largest pediatric accountable care organization, Partners For Kids. The creation and growth of the nation’s leading pediatric population health ecosystem, exemplified by Healthy Neighborhoods Healthy Families and Healthy Homes. The deepening of one of the country’s best integrated clinical care and research programs through the Abigail Wexner Research Institute, the Steve and Cindy Rasmussen Institute for Genomic Medicine and medical specialties across the hospital. The expansion of the country’s leading pediatric behavioral health system of care, with the Big Lots Behavioral Health Pavilion as its hub. The commitment of Nationwide Children’s to diversity, equity and inclusion in its Stand Against Racism, Stand for Health Equity. The establishment of central Ohio as a focal point of biotechnology research and manufacturing, through the launch of Andelyn Biosciences, the commercialization of dozens of research discoveries and partnerships with The Ohio State University and the State of Ohio.

This is the first time a Nationwide Children’s Hospital executive has been named to the list.
