Effective immediately, visitor restrictions are being lifted to most areas of Nationwide Children’s Hospital due to decreased seasonal influenza and H1N1 activity in our community.  However, the restrictions that were instituted October 12, 2009, which limit visitation to parents/guardians and grandparents will remain in place for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Hematology/Oncology Unit.   As always all visitors to Nationwide Children’s should be free of illness that could spread to our patients.  The hospital will continue to monitor the occurrence of seasonal influenza and H1N1 this season and reinstate visitor restrictions if necessary.  Additional H1N1 information is available at www.nationwidechildrens.org/h1n1.
