During the entire month of September, at the grocery check-out, Kroger customers will have the opportunity to purchase a paper basketball for $1 (or donate more) to help the patients of Nationwide Children’s. All proceeds from the sale of the paper basketballs benefit the hospital. The campaign kick-off celebration Friday at the Kroger Market Place in Lewis Center features complimentary hot dogs, Kroger’s mascot, Pepe, and athletic trainers from Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine who will offer fun flexibility and agility drills for kids of all ages. The Sports Medicine team at the hospital also will have resources available on injury prevention, conditioning and age-appropriate activities. Also available at the event, will be safety tips for parents including home, car, bathtub, bike and teen driving safety.
