Biography
Having completed her training in internal medicine and pediatrics at The OSU Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Kristen Lewis, MD, practices as a hospitalist physician at both of these institutions. She is board certified in pediatric hospital medicine. Much of Dr. Lewis’ clinical time is spent in the context of educating students and residents while caring for patients. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Lewis spends a significant portion of her time contributing to medical student education at the Ohio State College of Medicine. As an Associate Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Internal Medicine, she oversees all student programming within the department. As the Director of Mini-Internships, Dr. Lewis directs the required fourth year sub-internship course completed by all medical students. Dr. Lewis particularly enjoys working directly with medical students, including teaching history and physical exam skills through the College of Medicine’s Longitudinal Group curriculum, and coaching students through the Portfolio Coaching program.
