Kelsey McPherson, OTR/L, is a licensed occupational therapist serving homecare pediatric patients. She has been an occupational therapist with the Homecare Team full time since September 2021 and prior to that split time between the Hilliard Close to Home and Homecare. Kelsey developed a passion for occupational therapy while listening to parents and patients share their experiences with therapy services while she worked at the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio at NCH. Kelsey worked as an occupational therapist at the Delaware Speech and Hearing Center in Delaware, OH through the outpatient and school settings working with a variety of diagnoses and in multiple settings. She has experience leading OT groups such as the STAR group and a sensory based group, conducting sensory and food exploration opportunities at the community level, treating various ages and developmental levels at the outpatient locations, working with schools to provide consultative and treatment based OT services, and treating medically fragile children and children with severe transportation limitations through Homecare services. Kelsey enjoys being able to make a meaningful difference in the natural home environment of her patients as she helps them establish developmental skills and functional independence.
