Biography

Katherine J. Steingass, MD is a member of the Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Steingass is also a member of the physician team at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 22q Center. Her primary clinical, research and educational activities include neonatal follow up and evaluation and care of children with developmental delays and disabilities including Down syndrome, autism, and sequelae of prematurity. Her research interests include long-term developmental and behavioral outcomes for children born prematurely or with other perinatal risk factors. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio at Toledo, and completed her residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
