Biography

Kasey Strothman, MD is an assistant professor of pediatrics in the Division of Allergy and Immunology. She graduated with a BA from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, MO before then attending the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She graduated with her medical degree in 2010. After completing a pediatrics residency at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY in 2013, she relocated to Columbus, OH for an allergy/immunology fellowship at The Ohio State University. Following completion of fellowship in 2015, she joined the faculty at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Kasey Strothman is board-certified in Allergy and Immunology, and a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. In 2020 she became director of the Complex Asthma Clinic at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She has an active interest in primary immunodeficiency as well, and currently serves on a multidisciplinary team that provides specialty care to patients with 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome. She has a strong interest in anaphylaxis, and has been collaborating with Columbus Division of Fire since 2016 on a research project to improve knowledge about anaphylaxis and standardize management of anaphylaxis in the prehospital setting. In addition to providing patient care, she enjoys working with the fellows as an educator particularly as a preceptor for second year continuity clinic. She currently resides in Dublin, OH with her husband of nine years and two children.
