Biography
Karla Vaz, MD, MEd, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital and member of the Motility Center. She is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Vaz attended the University of Florida for both her undergraduate and medical education. After completing her pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, she continued on as a pediatric hospitalist. She then completed her pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition fellowship at Cincinnati Children's. Her clinical interests include all gastrointestinal disorders with a special interest in intestinal dysmotility with a focus on constipation and encopresis. She is also interested in education of patients and families about gastrointestinal disorders including functional bowel disorders as well as inflammatory bowel disease.

Biography
Karla Vaz, MD, MEd, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children's Hospital and member of the Motility Center. She is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Vaz attended the University of Florida for both her undergraduate and medical education. After completing her pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, she continued on as a pediatric hospitalist. She then completed her pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition fellowship at Cincinnati Children's. Her clinical interests include all gastrointestinal disorders with a special interest in intestinal dysmotility with a focus on constipation and encopresis. She is also interested in education of patients and families about gastrointestinal disorders including functional bowel disorders as well as inflammatory bowel disease.
