Biography
Jordan M. Voss, BS, BS, MPS, CCP, FPP, is a member of the Cardiovascular Perfusion Department in The Heart Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He is a Fellow of Pediatric Perfusion as well as a Clinical Instructor at The Medical University of South Carolina, The State University of New York and Midwestern University. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bucknell University, he went on to The Ohio State University’s Circulation Technology Program where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Allied Medicine and a Certificate in Perfusion Technology. He furthered his education with a Master’s of Science from The University of Nebraska. Jordan began his Perfusion career with a Cardiovascular Perfusion Fellowship at Emory Healthcare System in Atlanta, Georgia where he cross trained in both adult cardiovascular perfusion as well as congenital and pediatric perfusion. After completion of the Fellowship, Jordan was appointed to Emory Healthcare. From there, he went on to join the staff at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where Jordan focused exclusively on pediatric and congenital cardiovascular perfusion before leaving for Denver, Colorado in 2009 to direct a Congenital and Pediatric Perfusion Program as well as an ECMO program at The Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. In 2015, he returned to his hometown, Columbus, Ohio to fulfill a goal of working at Nationwide Children’s Hospital from when he was a young patient at Columbus Children’s Hospital. His research interests focus on development of improved techniques and strategies for providing extracorporeal support. Jordan has coauthored several publications and presented to audiences on his research. Jordan is an active volunteer for and passionate about Humanitarian Outreach in Cardiothoracic Surgery in Central and South America with a specific focus on education and sustainability. Jordan is a proud husband and father.
