Biography

Jonathan A. Pindrik, MD, is a pediatric neurosurgeon at Nationwide Children’s and assistant professor of neurological surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is also the surgical director of the Epilepsy Surgery Program at Nationwide Children’s. Dr. Pindrik’s primary clinical focusses include pediatric epilepsy surgery, hydrocephalus, and peripheral nerve surgery. In addition to clinical responsibilities, Dr. Pindrik engages in research activities related to his background in mathematics and its applications to pediatric epilepsy and peripheral nerve surgery. He has published more than 20 research manuscripts and book chapters on a variety of topics including endoscopic treatment for hydrocephalus, imaging diagnostics in neurosurgical patients, and peripheral nerve surgery. He also actively participates in the education programs for medical students and residents. While completing his neurosurgery residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Pindrik won the prestigious Hartwell Foundation Biomedical Research Fellowship (2010-2012). In 2013, Dr. Pindrik received the Johns Hopkins Department of Neurosurgery Chairman’s Award for Improving Patient Safety.
