Iraqi Patient Update

Fatemah continues treatment with interferon injections (a chemotherapy-type treatment), and Columbus Childrens Hospital  physicians are satisfied with her progress.  She has not experienced any infections and has been breathing, eating and playing normally.  At this point in time plans remain to treat Fatemah without surgery–treatment for a large hemangioma such as hers is a slow and deliberate process and is not a medical condition that allows a statement of a definite treatment end date.
