2022 Pediatric Home Care Conference
Supporting Home Care Staff. Elevating Patient Care.

Co-hosted by the Ohio Council for Home Care and Hospice. Attendees can register to attend either virtually or in person at Nationwide Children’s Hospital Conference Center. The first 100 to register for this event will receive a copy of Kim Regis’ book, “Meeting Just Fine – A Life-Changing Encounter.”
The intended audience includes nurses, social workers, hospice and palliative care providers, discharge planners, care coordinators, home health administrators, complex care providers, home health aides, pharmacists, occupational and physical therapists, chaplains, speech therapists and child life specialists.

Pediatric Dermatology Symposium

This in-person conference, hosted by Nationwide Children’s Dermatology Clinic team, highlights updates on pediatric dermatologic conditions frequently seen in primary care practice. The goal is to equip primary care providers with the knowledge and resources to confidently care for these patients within their setting.

2022 Symposium on Sickle Cell Disease: Balancing the Risks and Benefits of Disease Modifying Therapies, Transplantation and Gene Therapy
Friday, November 11 – 12, 2022
This symposium will provide information to our regional colleagues and our patients and families on current clinical trials and advances in the field of disease-modifying therapies (DMT), stem cell transplantation (SCT) and gene therapy in sickle cell disease (SCD). This symposium aims to critically analyze and review the pros and cons of these newer treatments, including curative options.
On Friday, November 11 is the Professional Track; and a Family Track is on Saturday, November 12. The purpose of the Family Track is to provide education to patients and families affected by sickle cell disease.

This conference is designed for physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, physician assistants, nurses, and other health care providers who treat pediatric patients with sports medicine injuries and orthopedic problems. Attendees may choose to attend in person or virtually, with afternoon breakout tracks in Sports Medicine, Rehabilitation and MSK Ultrasound.

Accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, Nationwide Children’s Simulation Program provides opportunities for various medical professionals to practice technical skills, medical judgment and collaborative teamwork. Simulation activities incorporate a variety of simulation modalities and methodologies, including state-of-the-art simulators, patient care environments, virtual reality and task trainers.
