The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Homecare Pharmacy team is made up of pharmacists, certified pharmacy technicians and service coordinators with vast pediatric infusion experience.
Our pediatric pharmacy team understands the unique needs of newborns, infants, children and young adults. Infusion medications are prepared on site in our state of the art clean room and delivered to patient’s homes.
The supplies and equipment provided to patients are specially sized for our unique patient population. Our goal is to provide patients with the highest quality of care in the environment where they thrive the most, at home.
How to Reach Us
Services are available with a referral from the patient’s physician. Regular hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Staff are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to answer patient/referral questions.
Referral Process
Referring physicians or practices can call (614) 355-1100 or 800-466-2727, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., to arrange a referral by providing the following information:

Pharmacists customize pediatric doses of individual medications for easier family administration.
Technicians prepare the specialized doses in our sterile compounding complex (cleanrooms) in accordance with USP 797 standards.
Pharmacists ensure the appropriateness of your ordered therapies at the start and throughout the entire course of treatment with ongoing clinical and lab monitoring and collaboration with the family, physicians and nurses.
Pharmacists coordinate with caregivers regarding medication, supply and infusion pumps needs and are available to answer questions, address concerns and discuss medication management.
Homecare is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JC), and is a certified Medicare/ Medicaid agency.
