Biography
Gail Swisher, AT, ATC, is an athletic trainer and outreach leader in the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Sports Medicine Department. She currently provides outreach athletic training services to Bexley High School and is a Physician Extender in the Sports Medicine Clinic. Gail serves on both the Website Marketing and High School Outreach committees at Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine. She is a member of the Nationwide Children’s Sports Medicine Social Media Team and helps coordinate pre-participation exams each spring for our partner schools. Additionally, Gail is an American Heart Association BLS Instructor and teaches CPR/AED classes to coaches and other members of the community. Gail’s previous clinical experience includes providing athletic training services to multiple sports at both the collegiate and high school levels, as well as leadership experience as a Senior Athletic Trainer at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. Gail has presented at the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Annual Meeting on two occasions and was named to Memorial University Medical Center’s Key 100 Class of 2007, an honor given to rising leaders within the organization.
