Teddy Chiang, MD, is a pediatric otolaryngologist and director of research in the Department of Otolaryngology and associate program director of the Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He is also Principal Investigator in the Center for Regenerative Medicine at The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s. As a surgeon-scientist, Dr. Chiang leads an NIH-funded research program in airway tissue engineering. He leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers, microsurgeons, and clinicians to develop approaches for airway regeneration. His primary research focus is devoted to the creation of tissue-engineered trachea for the care of children with complex aerodigestive disorders. Dr. Chiang’s clinical interests primarily focus on aerodigestive disorders, pediatric sleep disorders and general pediatric otolaryngology.
