Dr. Williams is passionate about the care of children and adolescents with obesity. As an obesity medicine specialist, she uses the evidence based during the evaluation and treatment to empower patients to achieve their goals and improve their health. As an educator, Dr. Williams teaches trainees and clinicians about the disease of obesity and how to deliver compassionate and informed care. As a mentor, she offers encouragement, skills coaching, and a listening ear to pre-med and medical students as well as residents in training. Dr. Williams is board certified in Pediatrics and Obesity Medicine and is an active member of the Obesity Medicine Association serving on both the CME Overview and Pediatric Committees. She has particular interest in the impact of social determinants of health on weight management.
