Biography

Deqiang Li, MD, PhD, is a principal investigator in the Center for Cardiovascular Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Li obtained his MD from China Medical University in 1996 and his PhD from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2009. He completed his postdoc training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine followed by appointment as instructor in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2017, Dr. Li became a tenure track assistant professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. In November 2022, his lab moved to the Center for Cardiovascular Research at Nationwide Children’s. 

    “My research will shed light on novel diagnostics and therapeutics toward congenital heart disease and heart failure.”

Deqiang Li, MD, PhD, is a principal investigator in the Center for Cardiovascular Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
