The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) have published a new Blueprint for Youth Suicide Prevention. This resource was developed in collaboration with experts from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). This practical guide is designed to support pediatric health clinicians in identifying strategies and key partnerships to prevent youth suicide. The Blueprint outlines clinical pathways, community partnerships, and policy strategies to better identify and support youth at risk for suicide and includes resources to promote equity in suicide prevention.
