Each year, Childrens ROR along with community partners, hold a three-month community-wide book drive collecting new and gently used books to raise literacy awareness throughout central Ohio. It is through the generous support of the community that enables Childrens Hospital pediatricians to help encourage family literacy in the home prior to a childs entrance into the school system.Since January 2007, more than 30,000 books have been donated to Childrens ROR Program. Tuesdays event will celebrate this successful book drive at Ohio at Kent Elementary School. Students will get a visit from two Ohio at Kent alumni, Archie Griffin and Angela Pace, and enjoy a story telling by childrens author Lynn Ford.
