Christopher R. Pierson, MD, PhD, is a staff pathologist in the Section of Anatomic Pathology in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Pathology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Pierson is certified by the American Board of Pathology in neuropathology and anatomic pathology. He is a principal investigator in the Center for Childhood Cancer within The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. His research is supported by the National Institutes of Health and focuses on pediatric neuromuscular diseases and brain tumors. His clinical interests include perinatal neuropathology and neuromuscular pathology.
