Biography
Chelsea A. Kebodeaux, MD is a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Surgeon at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is also a clinical assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She is the lead gynecologist on the Fertility and Reproductive Health team and one of the gynecology surgeons on the Center for Colorectal and Pelvic Reconstruction (CCPR) team. Dr. Kebodeaux’s interest in clinical research began at Washington University in St. Louis, where she attended undergraduate and medical school. This interest only grew through her OB/GYN residency in Wilmington, DE and fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX. She won the award for best resident research project for a study about intrauterine device insertion in never sexually active adolescents. She also won the award for the best poster presentation at a national society meeting for a study about gynecologic anomalies in girls with imperforate anus. Dr. Kebodeaux is very passionate about pediatric and adolescent gynecology. Her clinical interests include ovarian masses, uterine/vaginal/hymenal anomalies including MRKH, fertility preservation, Turner’s syndrome, menstrual disorders (amenorrhea/irregular periods, dysmenorrhea, or heavy periods), polycystic ovary syndrome, pelvic pain/endometriosis, pediatric vulvovaginitis, lichen sclerosis, contraception and gynecology care for patients with special needs. She loves educating patients and their families about gynecology.
