Bears For Children S Program Supports The Memorial Tournament Neonatal Intensive Care Unit At Nationwide Children S Hospital

This limited edition stuffed bear, assured to brighten any child’s day, can be taken home to a young family member or friend, or donated back to a patient at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Proceeds support the Memorial Tournament Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Nationwide Children’s.

The relationship between the Memorial Tournament and Nationwide Children’s has existed since the first playing of the Memorial more than 30 years ago. It revolves around the selfless dedication of the more than 30 Nationwide Children’s Auxilians who serve on the Women’s Division Committee. This dedicated committee, representing the Memorial and Nationwide Children’s, works to ensure professionalism from every tournament volunteer.

In May 2005, the Memorial Tournament announced a multi-year pledge with Nationwide Children’s, extending a successful 30-year partnership with the hospital as the Tournaments primary charitable beneficiary. Since 1976, the Memorial Tournament has raised more than $5.7 million to support the programs and services at the hospital. In recognition of the Memorials pledge, which will elevate the level of giving to more than $11 million in the coming years, Nationwide Children’s dedicated its NICU in honor of the Tournament.
