Arielle Sheftall, PhD, is an adjunct faculty member affiliated with the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Her research has focused on understanding early vulnerability and protective factors associated with suicidal behavior in young children (age 6 to 12) to develop and implement early intervention programs to prevent future suicidal behavior in at-risk youth. Specifically, her work has investigated the familial transmission and neurocognitive correlates of suicidal behaviors.
