Biography

Amanda Jacobson-Kelly, MD, is the Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital/The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Jacobson-Kelly worked as a Staff Physician at University of Virginia Elson Student Health Center and a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital before moving to Nationwide Children’s in 2015. Dr. Jacobson-Kelly completed her Masters of Medical Science from The Ohio State University while completing her fellowship in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Nationwide Children’s.  She earned her doctor of medicine from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and her bachelor of arts from Brown University. Dr. Jacobson-Kelly’s clinical and research interests include benign hematology, specifically autoimmune blood disorders, inherited bone marrow failure syndromes and nutritional hematology including iron overload states and anemia caused by complex or refractory iron deficiency. Dr. Jacobson-Kelly was awarded the 2018 Nationwide Children’s Fellow Research Award has won multiple American Society of Hematology Abstract Achievement awards. Dr. Jacobson-Kelly is involved in a variety of professional societies including the Hemostasis Thrombosis Research Society, American Society of Hematology, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Children’s Oncology Group, American Board of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
